Adding 'Picks' similar to Lightroom

Hi there,
Is there a way to add a 'Pick' - essentially an opposite of 'Rejects'?
Initially I want to be able to just highlight Picks, before moving on to culling, rating etc?
If not, do you have any suggestions for how to achieve this?
Closest thing I can think of is assigning a color to be a Pick.
Your help is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Subir

You may use color labels, or star ratings.

Also, there is 'Move to Selected subfolder' feature (you need to enable it via Preferences): https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#pag...

I was going to suggest tagging the Picks and then inverting the selection and filtering, so that the screen shows all the non-Picks, and then work on them.  But the problem with this is that once you have selected and are viewing all tagged files, you can only work on them as a batch, not individually, so you cannot then cull from just the tagged non-Picks.

Unless I am missing something and there is a way to do this which I am missing, I would suggest a feature change for a new version which would enable either batch (as at present) or individual (not yet possible) colour/star coding and deletion within the selected group of tagged images, which I certainly would find very useful.

You may use  Star Rating/Color label filtering via Sort&Panel checkboxes, no need to use Selection for it: https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#pag...

Also, there is a possibility to have separate shortcuts/menu items for single file and for selection actions: https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#pag...

(context menus and XMP Metadata panel buttons always work in context: multiple selected files in grid mode/single file in single file view mode)

@Graham1. I was going to try out the tagging - but I couldn't figure out how to do it - even after searching the manual. Can you elaborate on where in the menu I might find this option.

@Alex, Yes for now, I'm using a label in lieu of Picks. But it's a work-around, that I have to remember to change in Lightroom - as I use the label colors in Lightroom for different things.
May I please add a Lightroom style Picks as a new feature request.

If we add Lr-like Picks and Rejects, the next thing we'll be asked for is pass picks/rejects to Lightroom. Unfortunately, this is not possible, Picks/Rejects are internal to Lightrom catalog, these flags are not exported to XMP metadata and not imported from XMP.

So we prefer to stay within XMP metadata standard, it offers ratings and color labels, these two dimensions should be enough for any real practical reason.

Hi Alex,
Yes, that makes sense :)
Ok, I'll use the XMP labels for now.
