I noticed in the release notes that v 2.0.9 has Nikon HE/HE* compression support. Does this mean FastRawViewer is using the raw histogram for Nikon HE/HE* file format or is it using the embebbed jpeg?
Hi, could you clarify please. As Nikon's HE and HE* are based on TicoRAW which is patented, is FastRawViewer showing the histogram from the TicoRAW file or is it using the embedded image preview?
Can we have an update? Seems FastRawViewer now support HE* star files per my testing, and appears to be displaying the RAW histogram. Would love something in writing though.

HE/HE* is internally YCC, so
HE/HE* is internally YCC, so similar to (higher bitcount) JPEG

You can simply switch to JPEG
You can simply switch to JPEG-view mode (J hotkey) and compare histograms.
