Feature request: support thumbnails for .CRM raw video files larger than 2GB
Hi,
Thanks for the great software (been using since 2016)
I've been looking for software to help me organize my Canon RAW cinema light files (.CRM) made with Canon r5c and Canon r5 mark ii. The only ones that i've found are Canon raw cinema development software, and Adobe premiere pro. Both of which are clunky workflows to just see thumbnails and sort the files in to location or subject. To my amazement on upgrading to 2.0 (running 2.0.9 and I checked 2.10 beta release notes) it supports thumbnails of these video RAW files. Unfortunately the thumbnail is "decoding error" for files larger than 2GB (which is many of them given the bitrate) I looked through the preferences, but all the limits seem to pertain to megapixels rather than actual file size. I tested with 2.0.9 on a M4 Silicon mac running sequoia 15.3.2 and windows 10 pro.
Here is an example file larger than 2GB

Won't be able to keep that file up forever as I'm almost out of space on dropbox but should be there a while.
[...] I know this is video related, but it's actually photo related as I shoot 8k60 video so that I can grab 33megapixel stills (60 frames per second is way faster than still burst rate of 20)
Thanks so much!

Dear Bryn:
Dear Bryn:
The file has been downloaded, you can delete it from Dropbox to free up space.
Indeed, at the moment the RAW file size limit is 2 gigabytes. Before working on increasing this limit, we need to understand whether CRM files larger than 4 gigabytes actually exist.
If you have such examples, we would really like to have them before starting work on increasing the limit for CRM.
To share with us, you can pack such a file into a multi-volume archive (using, for example, 7zip) and use WeTransfer/Free option to send files to support@fastrawviewer.com

Followup: If you have multiple sample files larger than 4GB, it would be very useful to have at least two, so that we don't limit development and testing to a single sample.

Wow, thanks so much for your quick reply! I will try and find some only slightly larger than 4gb files to send to you. I have some that are more than 500GB so they definitely exist!
