After Rating a Selection, Not Push the User Back to First Selection Image

I'm new with FRV, I have tried to tinker with the Selection options, currently (in Grid Mode), I can manage to make a large selection and give them all a rating, but after rating the images FRV seems adamant to push me back to the first image in that selected bunch. This is kinda jarring and annoying when selecting some 200+ images to rate *.
The idea here is to quickly do a first cull pass, namely from Grid view, select all the images/thumbnails that show potential, but at this time we are not concerning ourselves with checking focus or even composition necessarily. Because it is quite a superficial basic selection it can be quite a vast number, not a few, but hundreds even (quite easy when shooting 15fps). The problem I encounter is after highlighting all the files and pressing the '1' key to give them all that * rating, RFV seems to take me back to the top and not leave me in the Grid view at the last highlighted image that was given the 1 star rating. Is there a combination of parameters that I need to set in the Preferences>Selection to make FRV behave like this?
