Is it posible to add .fit files to fastRaw Viewer. They are the deFacto fomat in astrophotography, it would many my life so much easier culling 100's of frames

Sorry, no plans for that. FastRawViewer is focused on out-of-camera images (RAW, JPEG, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF) and very limited set of other image formats (TIFF, PNG).

We do not have any plans to extend it to '600+ image formats are supported', there are a lot of other viewers for that.

According to NASA site, multiple FIT(S) viewers are available:

Ok thanks thats a shame, no other prgam is as easy and fast to use as FastRaw Viewer

Thank you for your kind words.

That IS the difference: supporting new format in FRV is not 'just add another reading plugin', but long and complex process to integrate format support perfectly.

FITS is also not single but a generic (container) format with lot of data types, lot of specifics, so adding is looks at least as complex as TIFF support while potential audience is limited.

May be in some (not near) future......
