MacOS Tahoe not able to delete folders as its greyed out

I am runing MacOS and have enabled the add/rename/remove folder options form the cog in the folder view but the delete option is greyed out.
I have given fastview full disk access and this does not seem to have made any difference and it is on an external USB drive.
Am I missing something obvious or another setting that I need to change.

Dear Sir:

Please contact us at support@fastrawviewer.com with screenshots illustrating the problem, including relevant access settings and info / free space on the drive.

I have now read the manual and can see its by design, which is a little annoying as sometimes I want to just delete a folder when its full of images. This might be becuase my workflow when taking macro shots it creates a folder every time I do a new shoot of X number of photos.
I was just thinking it would delete the folder even if it was full, so having to reject files then click off the folder and then right click the empty folder to delete it is just a massive slowdown of how I was working.
