Number of photos selected

I need to know how many photos have been selected, and can't see anything like 85 of 400 selected. After shooting a wedding, I need to select images for their wedding album. I go through the entire set and mark a photo with either red or yellow. I will then batch copy them to an "album" folder. But I need to know how many photos have been selected. What am I missing? Is there a way to see this? ~ Thanks.

If you'll right click on some selected thumbnail you'll see selected images count:

Anyway, you're right. It should be easier and possible to see without extra clicks. We'll add additional (optional/cusomizable) field to bottom bar in next minor update (1.3.6)

Thank you, that will help a lot I think.
I also found that using the "funnel" to show labeled photos works but a lot of extra clicks too.

Please try latest beta (build 998) from here: http://www.fastrawviewer.com/blog/FastRawViewer-1-3-6-release-candidate

To enable indication of selected files count:

  • Go to Menu - File - Customize bottom bar
  • Change setting for 'Selected files count' from 'hide' to 'always' or 'if fits'
  • Selected files count to be displayed at in bottom bar at left of Filename (and 'Current file selection status' if turned on) by white number.

If no files selected, this field will be empty (not zero)
