Using macOS Finder labels

Is it possible somehow to add support for macOS Finder labels?
I like labeling pictures and then retrieving them via labels, the color labels are enough, would it be possible to somehow map the FastRawViewer labels to the macOS Finder labels?

Dear Sir:

Color label writing (together with XMP file update) is relatively easy to implement.

2-way (read and write) implementation is not that easy: what to do if color label data is set in both XMP and Finder metadata and two labels are different?

I understand the complexity since labels are unbound on macOS, but I was asking if it'd be possible just to sync the colors that FastRawViewer already has (blue, green, red, yellow, etc)

I like this request. I would find utility if the sync were one direction (from FastRawViewer into Mac OS) as I consider the XMP file to be the system of record for metadata. Perhaps the preference setting would clearly state that this is a one-direction sync?
Regarding sync in the other direction (if implementation in two directions is a route taken), as an end user, I would assume a singular color choice (say Green) within Mac OS Finder would reflect back to FRV. If there were multiple colors applied, I suppose that would be an app setting (honor file's oldest color tag vs newest, if that info is available).
