FRV and Capture One 22

I'm loving FRV but I have yet to find a great tutorial or manual describing how to ONLY transfer culled images to Capture One 22 (may be true 20 and 21 also), where the selected files enter Capture One's Import dialog.  What I'm experiencing as an end result of "Run Program -> Capture One" is a referenced album being created in whatever is the "active" Capture One Session or Catalog.  This is VERY UNHELPFUL.
I watch all the folks using Lightroom and see the selected images (and any XMP data) roll into the Import dialog of LR.  That IS what I want in Capture One as well.
Any suggestions?

It looks like C1/22 works with folders in Session mode, so it is not possible to pass selected files to it.

One may use Catalog mode and drag-drop to pass images from FastRawViewer to C1

Note: In catalog mode C1 imports XMP Rating/Color label at import moment, newer changes of XMP sidecar are not reflected in C1 catalog.

Thank you lexa.  I've been using Sessions to group shoots for processing.  I think I could target a particular Session's "Capture" folder as the destination...this just makes me do this for every session ahead of wanting to move my culled selects into it.  C1 catalogs are a possibility but after a decade or more of Aperture 'managed' files in their catalog (aka Library), I believe I want my images in native macOS Finder structure and only referenced, so I need to play a bit with a single C1 catalog before using that.  Yes, I'm aware of C1 only reading the XMP file on import.  I don't believe that would be a problem as I envsion only using FRV first, then sending my selects to C1.
Still, I'd love to see a dedicated YouTube tutorial on just FRV + Capture One workflow(s).

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with C1 features.  If C1 is able to automatically import files from some folder: you may move (selected) files to this folder using FRV

I usually send my rejects to the Rejected folder in Fast Raw Viewer and then delete that folder before starting the import process into CaptureOne.
Regarding the xmp data. Changes to the metadata in the xmp can be updated by right clicking on images and choosing 'Load Metadata' or via the top menu Image > Load Metadata. Any new changes will be transferred into the catalogue.

When you say you send your rejects to the Rejected folder, are you refering to a folder created on your SD card (or other media) from the camera, or have you already copied them off the card to your hard drive?  I've heard some say don't mess with having FRV (or any other program on your computer) write to the card for fear it could corrupt it and threaten all the images on the card.
I'd like to select only those from the card I want using FRV and then have Capture One 22 open with it's import dialog with only those selected ready to import.  This is how I'm seeing it done for Lightroom folks.  I wonder why FRV supports Capture One if it does not behave that same way for Capture One.  I understand CO and LR are different programs from different developers; however, I was hoping FRV could become my culling engine of choice as a CO user.

M.A., I usually cull from the SD card and the reject folder the rejects go to is the one created by FRV on the SD card. That is the folder that is deleted before import. However there would be no drama in sending all images to an external drive first and doing it from there. I agree that LR is a lot more streamlined and would be my preferred choice however I wasn't happy with the subscription model. After the initial learning curve I find CaptureOne to be okay. FRV is always my first step and I find that it makes the initial selection process much faster.
