Screen Minimises on Full Screen Toggle

Hi
When I toggle Full screen, F, my screen goes to full screen then on returning it comes back in a minimised state?  Any solution for this.

Could you please explain:

  • Mac or Windows, operating system version
  • FastRawViewer version (Mac: Menu - FastRawViewer - About;  Windows: Menu - Help - About)

Sure thing.
Version 2.0.5 Release Build 1945 (x64-DirectX9/AVX2)  running on win 10

Thanks. There is a bug in FastRawViewer 2.0.5 (and older): if application was closed from Full-screen or Maximized window state, it saves incorrect 'normal' window geometry.

The bug has been fixed in FRV 2.0.6 (beta) available via: https://www.fastrawviewer.com/blog/FastRawViewer-2-0-6-Beta

After installing version 2.0.6 please:

  • turn off both Full-screen and Maximized state(s), it will result to small window size (saved by previous version)
  • resize non-maximized/not-fullscreen window to fit your needs
  • close FastRawViewer to record this non-maximized/not-fullscreen window size in program 'last used' data.

Hey Alex.
So more of a work around rather than a fix.  I use a lap top and switch between its monitor and a much larger external monitor for editing which means I have to adjust the window size back and forth, a bit clunky.  Ideally the full screen would work in the maximised atate and then there would be no issues,

You may use Fullscreen/Maximized window after proposed steps.

The problem was: if FastRawViewer exited (Menu - File - Quit program) from Maximized or Full-screen state, it records incorrect 'standard' geometry. It is fixed in FRV 2.0.6, but you need to save right/correct geometry for one time.

yeah I understand but like I said it's a work around that doesn't play well when switching screens as I have to resize again on the larger screen.
Shame but not the end of the world I'll stick with the tab key as it's close enough.  Maybe a fix for the future :)
