Option to change Active Picture (Selected) after a Reject (Move)?
Forums:
I'm new to FRV so plesae forgive me if this has been mentioned or there's been a fixed. Currently, after I reject a picture (moving to reject folder), FRV would select the next picture but sometime it would select the previous for some reason. I would like to force it to select the next picture to save a step. Is there a setting for this? Perhaps I'm just missing out something. Please advise, thank you.

'After rejected' image
'After rejected' image selection is controlled by this setting:
Preferences - File Handling - File Moving/Rejecting group - After current file moved
There are two possible values for the setting:

Stuggling with this same
Stuggling with this same behavior 11 years later. For unexplained reasons sometimes FRV would move forward, and occasionally backward. The solution suggested in the OP no longer exists and I cannot find a similar one in the Preferences, or the XMP panel. In the XMP panel I have "Move to next file after -> Rating or label is set", but the movement DEFINITELY is not always to the next file.

One possible confounding
One possible confounding factor - in the "Sort & Filter" panel I have deselected the "Reject" category. After ever reject I see a flicker where the previous image is temporarily displayed. It seems that occasionally the program fails to advance to the next image.
I am not interest in solutions where rejected files are moved to _Rejected as soon as they are marked as such. I prefer to mark everything in a linear fashion and then move to _Rejected in a single event.
