Calling an external Perl application (ExifTool) that creates a lot of temporary files on startup will effectively convert FastRawViewer to SlowRawViewer. We are not even considering this option for the FRV.
This is in addition to the fact that we cannot support and/or develop ExifTool in cases where the information provided by this program is not completely correct.
