Can't use the arrow keys to move

In situations where I
- first launch the FastRawViewer to single image view
- hit the "G" key to go from multi-image view to single image view
- in single image view and hit the "Z" key to zoom in and out
the arrow keys will stop functioning. I will have to use the mouse to select an image in the filmstrip to restore the arrow keys. It's almost as if the filmstrip doesn't have the focus, then the arrow keys don't work.
I'm using Mac Studio on Mac OS 12.4

We can't replicate this bug.
To figure out the culprit, please try the python script published at https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/qlgahu/figured_out_the_focus_steal_problem_in_monterey/ or something similar.
