Selection Bug

When advanced selection mode is disabled there is a selection bug.
Example to replicate the bug:
There are 300 images in a folder.
The first 100 have been set with the Yellow XMP color label.
The selected image is the second image that has no color label set.
The "Not Set" XMP label is applyed.
If we shift click on the first image only the first and the second image should be selected but instead of this the first 102 images will be selected.

If advanced selection mode is disabled: this is out of our control, operating system provided selection code is used.
