Beta 1.8 minor bug, E for "Display contrast edges" is not highlighted

Forums:

The letter E is not highlighted, when this mode is enabled. Not a major problem.. But nice to fix for the final release.
It should be highlighted when "Display contrast edges" is enabled

Thank you for the problem report. BTW, I'm unable to reproduce with 1.8-1715 and Windows 10.

What is your environment, is that Mac or PC/Windows?

I am using:
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.746]
Using an NVidia GPU

When using the color magenta, the letter E does light up

when I have choosen blue and restart the letter E is not lit.
When I change the color to red, it still is not lit. When I restart the application, the E is lit red.

Thank you for the explanation:

Confirmed, if Blue color is selected for (E)dge filter, the button is not highlighted.

To be investigated (and fixed)

We'll notify you (in this thread) when we'll have fixed version to try/check.

Ok, so the color are correct, but I still need to restart the application, for the status bar to use the new color.
The detail-effect is using the new color immediatly.
Not a major problem, and maybe it is hard to update the status bar component with new settings..
But I just wanted to check if this was the behavior you expected.

Yes, this need to be fixed too (not that hard to update colors on prefs change). Added to TODO.

Thank you again for reporting this
