FastRawViewer freezes when switching through pictures

Forums:

Hi,
I recently installed a fresh new windows, only because it seemed time to do so. Back then FastRawViewer was fast.
Now I installed FastRawViewer WinX64 in the newest version onto the new system for the first time...and it is not working that well.
It freezes very often when I am scrolling through pictures or when I want to open a menu from the top menu-strip.
It takes 20 seconds to open/view the next picture..SlowRawViewer!
Two things I noticed:
1. FastRawViewer uses a lot of memory 6GB out of 16GB (even Firefox uses less)
2. When I switch from RAW/intJPEG/extJPEG it does switch, but it automatically switches back to RAW when I am viewing the next picture. It also shows no intJPEG as if there is non..I think that was not the case in the former FRV version.
FYI: Windows 11 Home Version 22H2 Build 22621.819 64bit, Intel Core i7 1065G7, 16GB RAM
Hope you can help!!

Additional information: Pictures taken with Futjifilm 26Megapixel..
picures are on external SSD (SanDisk - Extreme Portable - 1050 MB/s - USB-C)  ...but the pictures where allways on this SSD

1. Yes, FastRawViewer is designed to use lots of RAM for files pre-fetching/caching. It is configurable via Preferences - Performance section and explained in details in the application manual: https://updates.fastrawviewer.com/data/FastRawViewer2-Manual-ENG.pdf#pag...

2. Preferences - File formats - Default image to display: Same as previous

3. File display performance: you've upgraded your Windows, is it possible that SSD connection speed degraded for some reason (correct driver not installed/updated, read caching for drive turned off, etc)? USB is very complex protocol these days, it is generally possible that you've downgraded, for example, from USB 3.2 to 3.0. Could you please measure disk access speed with some benchmark software (e.g. CrystalDiskMark)?
