I think the exposure triangle has a place in teaching photography. It's just that the third corner is not (or shouldn't be) ISO, it's light intensity. Like shutter speed and aperture, light intensity can be manipulated (sometimes) by moving the subject to a lighter place or time, or by adding artificial light, to increase exposure. But spot-on article otherwise.
