FRV does not move associated .acr sidecar files when moving raw and xmp

Forums:

Adobe Camera Raw introduced a new ".acr" sidecar extension with ACR version 14.0 in 2021. This file appears to be a binary file associated with the ACR masking features introduced at in that release.
Editing a raw file in ACR (for example, launching Photoshop from FRV) will create these files if the user creates masks.  The file is then read  when the file is opened again in ACR or imported into Lightroom.
FRV appears to NOT move the .acr file when it moves the associated raw (and xmp) file to a different folder (including a _Rejected folder).
This creates a cumbersome manual cleanup wherein the user has to find these remaining .acr files and move them manually to whichever folder now contains the raw.  Failing this, the user will have to recreate the masks in LR or ACR in the new location and delete the litter of unmoved files.
Searching the manual, I found an option in Preferences/File Operations, "Additional file extensions to copy/move/rename with file", and added +.acr to the end of that string (it now contains, with quotes added here:  "ORF+ORI *+.dop+.acr") and restarted FRV.
But... FRV still doesn't move the .acr file - whether I move using "move to rejected" or move to another folder.
Can FRV be fixed to move these files along with the raw?    FYI, PM has been handling this since shortly after the file's introduction in 2021.
Thanks,
Don

Assuming, .acr file is named same way as XMP (same file name, different extension) you probably need *+acr setting (note: no dot).

So full line is (tested with FRV 2.0.9, but this setting processing have not changed for many years):

ORF+ORI *+.dop *+acr

(monospace font used to see spaces better).  *+.dop+.acr will not work the way you expecred

Of course, you may limit it to *+acr if you do not use Olympus PixelShift and/or .dop (RawTherapee) files.

Thank you Alex - I used *+acr and it worked perfectly.
Would you consider making this acr handling the default for FRV - I'm sure people have other people have moved files and left their .acr files behind without necessarily noticing.

Don

yes, we've just added it to next update.

Unfortunately this change will not affect existing users as they already have their settings saved.
