I am trying to follow the instructions without success.
i want to rate some images, then select them and display only them in file manager or finder. Only 1 of the selected images are highlighted in either managers.
what i really want to do is pass the selected images to DXO pureraw, but it seems that DXO will process the images if a rate has been added; pity!
Any ideas how to follow this workflow?
TIA

Anyone got a simple, get started tutorial, without all the bells and whistles.
I can 'tag' a photo to be deleted, but the software doesn't create a Rejected Photos folder (why not?), nor is there any instructions I can find to doing so, without having to read a manual of 400+ pages! Seriously no one has time for this, especially when evaluating something that should be entirely obvious and straightforward: hit 'Delete', hit 'Delete' again, etc, then empty the folder. Anything else feels like work.
I'm sure you've got a good product, but make it a bit more friendly please!

Thank you for FRV, such a fantastic tool!
I'm not sure if my req will be refelevant for your pipeline, but here I go.
It would be great to have a right click or standalone tool that can unpack all images from a Canon RAW Burst Mode CR3 in a subfolder (like unpacking a ZIP archive file).
Currently the default approach is to use Canon's DPP - RAW Burst Image Tool, which is time consuming.

First of all I would like to thank you for creating FRV - its a shining star in the area of photo centric sofware.
I use a lot the feature of rejected and selcted folders.
But it would be nice to even refine it further and send files into a subfolder, as soon as rating them with a star from 1-5*.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Problem Description:
When photographing Birds in flight lighting can vary very quickly (e.g. flying from shade to sun and from sky-background to foliage background). Therefore I need to expose my photos very conservatively to avoid blowing highlights, which means that my photos tend to be strongly underexposed. Therefore I love using the auto-exposure function of FastRawViewer.

Hello everyone,
First post here! I have just downloaded FRV and I am quite impressed with the amount of functionality.
However there's one thing I cannot figure out: I would like to browse my images seeing both RAW and JPEG (external) at the same time using the multi-window features. I know how to load those images, but then I would like for both windows to update as I navigate through the folder with the arrow keys. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!

I keep getting "File copy error" message in a popup window when trying to delete files (i.e. move to _rejected folder) in grid view. No files are marked as read-only. Intermitent error, sometimes it works sometimes it displays the error message.
OS: fully up to date Windows 10
FRV version 2.0.10
Hardware: High spec PC with Intel I9, 128GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. Internal hard drives with plenty (2TB plus) of free disk space.

It would be great if we could customize tokens when batch renaming, meaning enter any text we want to name the files.

Is there a way to gain cross-functional compatibility for Lightroom CC's "Pick" flag? I looked at its XMP file and it looks like it uses the following to determine if a file is a Pick in "Local File" mode:
xmpDM:good="True"
Whileas FastRawViewer uses labels. The closest being:
<xmp:Label>Good to Use</xmp:Label>
The ratings 1-5 carry over just fine.

It's quite common in other applications to toggle zoom to 100% (at the current cursor position) with a double click of the left mouse button, and it would be nice to be able to set FRW up with the same behaviour. It doesn't seem to be possible, or am I missing something?
