Hi
I now this might be a bit counter intuitive, but is there a way when culling, it can show the embedded jpegs and not the raw images?
right now it shows RAW as default I can swap with the hotkey J between the two?
/Cheers
H

Hi Guys
Currently using photomechanic but have found the latest version (6) to be slower and clunky compared to version 5 so im now trialing FRV, I have a few questions.
Is there a quick search function so I can imput a file number or multiple numbers and bring the images up and then drop in to a folder.
Is there a way to tag photos using the keyboard while scrolling through culling images, such as hitting the "T" key then when at the end have all the tagged images displayed so they can be dropped into a folder.

Is there a way to see if a file has a .dop sidecar (or other raw processor's edits)?
In FRV's grid view (or in the details), I simply want to be able to see if a file has already been processed/edited in another program, the presence of this extension sidecar would indicate that.
I'm currently running an exiftool script that sets edited raw's xmp colour labels to green (=edited), but that only works with edits saved in xmps.

Hi
I am going to set my workflow up so that I can use FRW for culling before editing in my favorit RAW converter Capture One (Version 22).
The import from FRV to C1 Session of the information on star rating and colour markings is working fine.
But until now I have not managed to get the informations on exposure correction, White Balance and Orientation over to C1.
In "Tips for a Quick Start ..." p. 43 Capture One is in the list of RAW converters, that can use this information.

Hi,
I just got a Sony A7iv camera, and have made some .HIF files, just to test. I am using FRV V2.01 build 1862, and I was surprised that FRV seems to be able to display the .HIF files in the thumbnails, and even open them up?
However, the Adjustments don't seem to do anything.
Is there anything else (e.g. adjust exposure, etc.) that FRV can do with these files? Also, is there a way to get FRV to save the files off as, say, JPG?
Thanks (and BTW, Happy New Year! ),
Jim
Would love to have the option to view the GPS coordinates in Open Street Maps instead of google maps.
Thanks for your time and effort,
Roger.

DXO says that the dynamic range of my camera (1DX iii) at ISO 200 is about 13EV. So in preferences I’m setting ISO 200 Under Exposure Limit to 13 EV. At ISO 1600 DXO says the dynamic range is about 11 EV.
That means that FRV will linearly calculate the EV at ISO 100 to be about 13.8, which is close to what DXO says it is.
Is this the right way to set the under exposure limit for this camera?
Thanks,
Dan

I'm just looking to understand how the raw histogram is made.
When I look at the raw histogram for a photo in FRV it is showing a dynamic range that goes from about -11 EV to about 4 EV. I assume that that is the dynamic range of my camera (1DX III). Is that correct?
How does FRV know the dynamic range of my camera?
Also Digger is showing me EV values for the sensor(s) in my camera.
Of course the EXIF data has the name of the camera model in it. Are you basing the EV values on your own compilation of camera sensor data processing?

I use different panel configurations for different workflows, but it takes a bit to move them around, resize, and configure for each workflow. It would be a huge time saver if we could save panel layouts in multiple "workspace" slots. As an example, I would have different layouts for image organization and image analysis.

I'm a big fan of FastRawViewer after exploring a lot of the features. There are a lot of no-nonsense practical tools here and the speed is amazing. My workflow for processing RAW files involves a lot of folder naming and organization. I can get by with sub-folder creation and rename folder functions, but a key piece missing is the ability to move an entire folder.
