metadata changes in FRV > LR?

Hi all, excuse the beginner question but is there a way for ratings or color label changes made in FRV to images that can automatically transfer to those images already imported into a lightroom catalog?

i started using FRV for review/cull directly on the CF card and then importing via LR, but since RAW images generate so much faster in FRV, I'd like to be able to go through older images that i've already imported in LR, make those metadata changes in FRV, and have them apply to the images in my LR catalog.

any help is appreciated!

thx

Possible to set to Single File Mode?

Hi Folks,
With FRV2.0, is it possible to have the interface defaul to the Film-strip at the bottom and have the "Toggle Singe File/Grid" to default to Single File?  I fidn that when I navigate to a different folder, the dispaly changes to grid and I have to keep clicking the Toggle button in the bottom tool bar every time.  Haven't found a way to have FRV default to this state and I'm sure I'm missing something...
Thanks for the help!
Cheers!

Passing files to external programs

Hi,

This is no doubt a very basic question, so apologies for that.  I am new to the latest version of FRV, having only just upgraded from v.1 and I note that when I pass files to external programs, (in this case Photoshop Elements, though I have other software as well), the files now open directly in Photoshop Elements, presumably as .JPG, rather than opening as RAW files and thus giving me the RAW adjustment dialogue options in Photoshop.

How to get the FRV look in Lightroom?

Hi
I'm new to FRV and hugely impressed with the value of RAW histograms. I love the look of my RAW files in FRV compared to Lightroom previews.
Is there a simple way to get roughly the same basic appearance as a starting point to use in Lightroom without lots of fiddling or is it just going to be experimentation?
Thanks

FRV 2.0: Make "As shot" a default and not "Camera auto"

Before 2.0, "As shot" always showed whenever working on an image.  Now, all images show "Camera auto" and I have to select "As shot."  As I only use one camera and want to view images as naturally as possible, I believe that "As shot" would be the appropriate default, but I'm having trouble setting it as the default.  Of course, if "Camera auto" would be equivalent to "As shot" when always using the same camera, then I'll accept "Camera auto."  Thanks.

Sony A7RIV - embedded jpgs for RAW files aren't sharp unless zoomed in at 100%

Hello,
The embedded jpg's for Sony's A7RIV are 1616x1080 resolution. When I view them in "fit to window" within fastrawviewer the zoom level is at 89.8%. The issue I'm having is that the jpg isn't sharp. It's soft/blurry looking. However when I zoom in at 100% the picture is sharp. When I switch to RAW view, the picture is sharp. It's only the previewed jpg at the "fit to window" zoom level that it's soft.

How to transfer FRV to a new PC and how to find license number?

I recently purchased FRV.  And, last week I loaded on a trial of FRV 2.0 (still have 48 days left.)  However, I will be transferring all my files and folders to a new PC.   How do I get and or set up FRV on my new computer? My problem here is I don't think I have (don't seem to get it from present trial version) my license number for my original purchase of FRV.

raw operations on multiple files in near real time

HI there, I am a new Fastrawviewer user and I am having trouble figuring out the somewhat idiosyncratic user interface. I need to be able to select a group of images and then apply a RAW-based exposure correction to them all at once. Hopefully in real tine or amost real time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance !!!
Dave
