Find a file or select all files meeting a criterion

Hi all,
this should be simple but I cannot see how to do it.
How do I filter or search in grid view for all files meeting a simple criterion such as file type, or (string) in filename?
The current ability to filter only by Label or Rating is extremely limiting.
thanks

Number of photos selected

I need to know how many photos have been selected, and can't see anything like 85 of 400 selected. After shooting a wedding, I need to select images for their wedding album. I go through the entire set and mark a photo with either red or yellow. I will then batch copy them to an "album" folder. But I need to know how many photos have been selected. What am I missing? Is there a way to see this? ~ Thanks.

Judging image quality

Hi there,

I'm getting used to FastRawViewer and have to say it's really a great tool!

I've just got one quick question: The viewing quality of the rendered raws is quite bad compared to a raw processor - I assume this
the reason it is so fast and probably also the reason there are separate raw processors, which is fine.

No Thumbnails and ratings - "No Preview Available"

When using FRV with the Leica D-LUX3 of a family member (I know, old camera), I do not get any thumbnails and ratings. The tiles each show "No Preview Available". The main file view is fine though.
The camera is set to RAW+JPEG, both file types are present in the same folder, only the extension differs. It is possible to toggle the main preview between RAW and external JPEG just fine, so RAW decoding as well as external JPEG detection seem to be Ok.

Move the raw file to _Rejected, but retain the jpeg?

I have my camera set to take raw and to generate a jpeg. Sometimes, in FRV, I'd like to get rid of a raw file and move it to the _Rejected subdirectory, but for the sake of remembrance, retain the corresponding jpeg file. Is it possible to do so?

How to work with FRV and Adobe Camera Raw

Hi
If I use FRV to select my best images based on exposure and I have the setting in FRV "Apply Adobe Hidden Exposure Correction" turned off what do I do when opening in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom? At this stage I assume ACR or Lightroom will apply the standard adobe hidden exposure correction. If so do I then need to dial the ACR exposure slider down to remove the auto correction? If so by how much do I need to dial down the exposure?
Many thanks

How to start in Single Image view?

Hi,
I have  a dual monitor setup I have the grid tab displayed on the secondary monitor and the main dispaly set to Single Image. However, when I restart FRV it default s back to grid view on the main display. Is it possible to configure FRV to start up in Single Image view?
Many thanks

Add rating using numeric keypad?

I had a look in preferences but could not find a way to just press the number 1,2,3,4,5 on the number keypad to set a rating value.
I can do this using the Alt plus number but this slows down the process and needs two hands. Is it possible to just press the number to set a rating?
Many thanks

Program updates

I checked for updates in FastRawViewer and it says I am up to date, but I noticed on the site here it says 1.3.4 is released and I am running 1.3.3.  SHouldn't it have detected that the new release is available and then updated to it?  If the new version isn't detected through the program, can it be updated by downloading the new version then running the install and letting it update the existing version that is already installed?

Saving White Balance

I just got FastRawViewer on 09/12/2016 so I haven't been using it for very long.  I went into a folder of RAW files and was going through them pictures one at a time and I found when I set a white balance by Alt-Clicking to sample an area everything looked OK.  I went along working on some more and found when I went back to any of the ones I had already set up the white balance no longer showed the custom one I made.  How do you get the program to write the settings to the XMP file so that when you return to a shot it will still have the setting you made.  I am used to the XMP files created
