I looked through the topics and didn't see anything, so I probably have something set wrong...

Hi
Would be nice to be able to add "Favorite" locations on PC, such as Desktop or other frequently used locations. If that not possible, add Desktop as a location under the folder tree
thx

I'm currently evaluating RawDigger and Fast Raw Viewer (the latter looks simpler and thus better suited to me ;-) ). In the RawDigger tutorials, I've read that the point where clipping in either direction occurs, respectively at what specific exposure level the program is expected to show over-/underexposure, must be determined first by looking at the histogram's ends - what figures are there (spike, waveform,...) and at what x-value they occur. The threshold values then can be entered in the preferences section.

Hello,
I do'nt find a better place for this request.
There is no Logout or Deconnection function (Buton) on the forum. This would permit an explicit deconnection and not a implicit after some times.
What's your opinion ?
Thanks

I have downloaded and perused the User Manual - and it is very good, and clear. However, there is little or no discussion of "how" to use the information provided and why you want to examine it.

FastRawViewer might be very helpful to me.
But there is one thing I do not see how to adjust that is extremely important to me as my vision is already a bit blurry.
I don't see how to adjust sharpness. I have tried all the contrast versions. And various combinations of exposure etc and reset everything a couple times. Is there a way to increase the sharpness of the image preview? Thank you.

Just a note on how FRW has helped recently. I upgraded to the new Nikon D7200 a few weeks ago. Not something I'd normally do until software support is available but I knew that. Sure enough it wasn't supported immediately by Lightroom (just noticed that Lightroom CC announced yesterday does). However, to my surprise, FRW has been able to read the D7200 RAW with no issues. So I've been able to keep the workflow and initial triage of all images going just fine in the interim. Thankyou.

Hello, I have been using FRV for a while now, and I love it. I use it it combination with ACR and photoshop. I have been finding lately that the pictures viewed through FRV look very diferent, and on most occasions much more pleasing than when I send them to ACR. In one discussion on this forum, it is said that "BTW, FRV does nothing special with image, any good raw convertor may achieve this image look easily." I am happy tohear this but could use a little more help in achieving this.

Hi,
I did load this Canon raw file: http://www.spreephoto.de/data/11-24/U55/IMG_2844.cr2 and looked at it in Rawfileviewer and in Rawtherapee as well (the latter with absolutely all adjustements disabled), each in 100% actual pixel view.
Only in Rawfileviewer on the handrails left and right of the starcaise in the foreground I see repeated green spots and the edges of the stairs seem to glow green as well. This looks like heavy chromatic aberrations.
