Am I missing something? Generally speaking, if I select an item in a list on my Mac, press shift, then click on another item in the list, all the items between are selected. When I do this in FRV, it always selects from the beginning of the list, not where I initially clicked. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Can I view Lab values (Lab Color Readout values?) with a color sampler in FRV? An important part of my culling process is checking the Lab value of the white patch on the x-rite ColorChecker targets in my photos. It is not enough for me to know that the white patches are not overexposed. For example: a photo of a ColorChecker Digital SG target with a white patch L value of 97 is better than one with a L value of 99, but FRV seems to give me no way of distinguishing between the two. Am I missing something?

Is there a way to search the forum for key words?
I apologize if I'm missing something obvious. Maybe this is a problem with my browser?
Cheers,
Mark

I used my free trial of FastRawViewer to rate and label a couple of folders worth of photos. For the first batch, when I used "Read metadata from file", Lightroom updated the ratings and labels perfectly.
For the second batch, I can see that the xmp files associated with the rated and labelled photos contain the correct ratings and labels, but they don't update when I click "Read metadata from file" (although Lightroom does show the progress bar as though it's reading the files).

Hello. I very much like FastRawViewer and have supported the effort with a paid license. One feature that I think would be very useful is the ability to have FRV advance to the next pic upon setting a rating. This would allow for even faster culling by cutting "rating" and "advance" clicks/keystrokes by half. Asimple toggle in preferences would be great. I hope you will consider this. Thanks.

I've been a registered FastRawViewer for a couple of years, and I like the software, but I don't like the way it seems to have taken over all aspects of my photo file handling. Sometimes I want to use windows file manager or Canon Digital Professional to quickly sort through my photos. If I happen to double click a photo for a closer look in another program, it opens the file in FastRawViewer, which I don't want. I'm assuming some defaults need to be undone and reset, but I can't find out how to do it. I tried fiddling around with the defaults in the Windows Settings, but that didn't help.

Scene capture type seems not to be working in exif panel of FRV for my X-T1, it shows "standard" for all my RAF files.
Is this a bug or could it be my camera setup ? It shows all other Exif information just fine in the Exif panel.
And yes i did tick the box in the Exif display preferences of FRV.
Thanks, Iwan.

Is there a shortcut to fix the filmstrip down the right hand side of the screen? When I drag it there it pops back to the top or bottom.
