FastRawViewer: questions, suggestions, feature requests.

exporting

just downloaded the trial and so far loving it! But I cant seem to find a way to export batches of photos
e.g export all photos with the label 1 to <custom> folder (figured out how to export one by one but it will take me forever!)
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks!

Great app — could use a great icon

I just downloaded the program, messed around with it for fifteen minutes, and registered it. Great work.
I really think it could use a better icon though. Here's a quick attempt for what it's worth:

1:1 zoom appearing binned

Hi,
First, I love FRV, congrats to the whole team. The ergonomics are very production-oriented, as they should, and I foresee it becoming the central part of my workflow. Bring it on Android!
Now the one bit that surprised me is that on my PC it seems that 1:1 viewing is not sharp at all, pixels appear binned 2x2 (D810 nefs, no Jpeg usage, OpenGL version, NVidia GT750 card, plenty of RAM). Is that the expected demosaicing?

Underexposure limit and DR

I’m using a RAW 14bit (ISO 64) file from a D810.
In preferences the default underexposure limit  is set to 8EV.   I have customised the value to 2EV lower (10.EV).
After performing a shadow boost (S) set to the 2.0EV I still get visually clean shadows.
Does this mean I can assume the camera’s DR is 10EV (or 7 below EV0) when I go to meter a future scene at ISO64.

Feature Request

I wanted to request a feature;

+  Add a function that will permit opening the current image in an editor of the user's choice.

One of the features I have seen photographers use in Pie Studio is to set, in preferences, an editor such as photoshop, Gimp, Elements, ACDSee, etc, and then hit a function key, or a control key, and that image will open in the editor for more detailed tinkering/evaluation.
Does FRV already have this feature?

What is the current Sigma support status, please?

Hi,
I think we've spoken about this before. In the manual it says:
http://www.fastrawviewer.com/usermanual/supported-cameras
"Sigma (embedded JPEG only)".
Is "embedded JPEG only" still true?

Using FRV in my Lightroom workflow

Hi,
I have just found FRV and I like what I see so far I want to be able to scan through the raws fast, easily mark rejects and picks guided by your raw data information (wish LR had this capability) I will do all developing & adjustments in LR. But as a long time lightroom user could you consider tweaking a couple of things to make life easier for LR users/all?
1: Could you put a settings option for LR short key compatability?
eg cursor L/R moves images, X rejects, P picks (notice you dont seem to have pick?), G thumbnail view, E single image view

RGB data under the cursor?

I may simply have missed this feature in the manual or in using the program.  But I think that having a readout of the current RGB under the cursor would be useful when reviewing images.  Maybe it uses the same sampler size options as the WB correction tool?

Lightroom workflow ???

Hi,
Just tried FRV today, however I don't know how to integrate it with a LR5 worflow.
For me , the main advantage of FRV is to quicly sort through my pictures before importing them into LR, much like Photo Mechanic does. By reading the raw datas instead of the embedded jpeg, FRV is way better than PM.
However, to import all the selected pictures from PM to LR, you just have to drag them. Is there such an easy way with FVR, apart from moving the pictures one by one ?
thank you

Internalization

Hello,

I can help in French.
