FastRawViewer: questions, suggestions, feature requests.

Possible to show thumb-nails of entire folder?

Can the thumb-nails for an entire directory be shown? Did I overlook how this can be done?

Manually setting the colour temperature

The new beta is showing good progress and I have been trying it out on a wider assortment of pictures. While doing this I have been including pictures taken with 2 Canon cameras using the CHDK hack, an Ixus 70 and a PowerShot SX10 IS. Neither of these are supported and I wonder if this is why the manual setting of the colour temperature is unavailable, and I would be interested in :-
1) What other limitations apply to unsupported cameras.
2) Is it easy to add cameras to the supported list and how do we go about it.

Samsung NX1 support

Maybe you can add support for Samsung NX1 raws:

Would be interesting.

Impressive... (are multiple image views likely?)

I've been looking around for fast RAW viewers (e.g. PhotoMechanic) but others seem overpriced (... PhotoMechanic) or have an ugly, cramped, Java-decorated interface (... PhotoMechanic). So I'm encouraged by FRV. It seems well thought out: I like the interface choices, speedy operation and interaction with editors.
After a few minutes play I have one suggestion and one question.

Licence policy

Hello,
I discover FastRawViewer after download and installation.
What would be the futur licence policy, and eventually pricing policy, after alpha and beta testing ?
Thanks
A. Philippe

render the output

Hello, I really like the picture! How can I render it and save? I've activated the .rpps creation, opend it in RPP but the settings are ignored and even when I enter them manually (WB and EV correction), I do not get the same colors, etc. Is there any convertor, wich I can use to render the same output?

Image rating

When an image is opened for the first time it has no rating and none of the numbers appear in red. If you set a rating, say 4, 123&4 turn red. No problem so far. Change you mind and remove the rating and 0 turns red. You now have 2 states of no rating, one with no red at all and one with a red 0. It would be better if this inconsistency was removed. Clicking 0 should return everything (including the 0) to black.
The labels work fine in this respect.

Zoom

Now that I have the basics set up and you have made helpful changes to the latest beta, I am starting to get into the finer details of using FRV. One of the first things that I notice I am missing is the use of the mouse to zoom. I have followed your recommendation to change the keyboard shortcuts to allow the wheel to be used to zoom in and out, but it would be so much nicer if it zoomed in on the point the mouse curser is on. As it is you zoom in with the wheel but have then to drag the image to the area you want to examine in more detail.

Read/Save Adobe-style exposure and white balance

Thanks for the new 0.9.3 Beta which has some good improvements :-) However, now that it is not setting pictures to an earlier process version, I see I still have a problem of it changing exposure and white balance values so that I have to select overwrite or import changed meta data settings for pictures already in Lightroom. I can stop this by unticking the 2 boxes to Read/Save Adobe-style exposure and white balance, but I can't select read not save.

HowTo? OverExp and UnderExp for selected area?

FRV 0.9.3 newbie
Iis it possible to have the OverExp and UnderExp for a limited, selected area? It would be useful to have the stats for OverExp and UnderExp for that specific area.
If not, can this be a "Feature Request"?
From what I've seen so far, this is one of the few, and perhaps most significant, capability of FRV that is missing compared to RawDigger. Or am I unaware / ignorant of other RawDigger capabilities compared to FRV?
Note I am aware that RD has support for Sigma Fovean cameras. Do you anticipate support for Fovean with FRV?
